Paper Scraps the site first went online on Geocities under the name Temple of Slashy Beauty. It then moved to TopCities, where was split into my X-Files fansite, The Dogg Leash (I was a big fan of Doggett), my original site, Fangs Feathers and Guns, and my tiny Dante shrine, Devil Child, leaving Paper Scraps to serve as my blog and link hub to all those sites.
Eventually, thanks to Lerefuge, I got a livejournal, so my blog was no longer useful. She then helped me find hosting, and I gradually moved my sites off TopCities and onto the server of one of her friends. And now, finally a little more financially independent, I've moved to paid hosting, and split my big collective/miscellaneous site into two sites: Paper Scraps is now a small and simple collective site, while all my miscellaneous fanworks and original works were moved to a new site, Grab Bag.
Along with Devil Child, Paper Scraps is the only one of my old sites left. If one counts all its incarnations and hosts, it's actually even older than Devil Child, which turned 5 in 2007.
The current layout, an update of the first one I threw together to get Paper Scraps online, is called Fancy Wallet, because the colour palette was taken from a very pretty wallet Lerefuge bought me for Christmas. The background pattern used is Wise by Carlos Silva and can be found in K10k's pixel pattern collection. Paper Scraps also uses quite a few of the lovely Silk icons by FamFamFam as list bullets. The favicon is from the Fugue icon set by Pinvoke.
My collective is hosted by HostGator, a host that I definitely recommend.
Paper Scraps is built and maintained using Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Filezilla.
The Paper Scraps Network is powered in part by PHP and by many a script:
